We are greeted at reception and see the grand piano, the guest lounge and dining area and the tone is set. You know your choice to stay at Tiritiri Lodge is something you will cherish as this is a truly special place.
The lounge is light and airy with lavish, comfortable furniture, a warm ambience and a double fireplace. The 6 guest rooms are equally impressive with the very finest of linens and goose down covers. Out on our balcony, as with all the rooms, the views out over Lake Wanaka towards the snow tipped mountains are awe-inspiring. The vista changes with the seasons.
Stephanie and Denis have designed and built Tiritiri Lodge drawing on all their expertise to ensure that guests every need is meet. Dining is an occasion - the very talented Tiffany, their daughter, a chef who has worked in renowned international restaurants will conjure up the very finest of cuisine on request utilizing produce from the organic gardens adjourning the lodge.
Wanaka's attractions are numerous, however it is hard to tear ourselves away even though the lakeside is just a short stroll. Our choice, relaxing in the hot tub with the background music of trickling water from the water features, or lounging in the beanbags in front of the outdoor fireplace watching the southern sky. Tiritiri Lodge is one of the country's gems, spectacular with a professional approach to hospitality, done with style and special touches to make you truly welcome.
