Lime Tree Lodge lies at the foothills of spectacular alpine ranges that dominate this stunning location. While only 10 minutes from Wanaka, and the array of restaurants and shops it offers, Lime Tree Lodge is truly a luxurious retreat.
I was enchanted from the moment of entering the tree lined driveway and discovering the beautiful gardens and grounds that surround Lime Tree Lodge. All guest rooms open out to the wrap around garden terrace from which this glorious setting and 360 degree mountain views can be enjoyed. The rooms are beautifully appointed, and I was delighted with the extra touches and attention to detail that is paramount throughout the lodge; and indeed in Sally and Rebecca's hospitality. The evening aperitifs are a highlight and are complimented by home-made treats and local delicacies.
While a perfect base from which to explore the myriad of nearby features, which includes vineyards, national parks and ski fields; chances are, like me, you will have no desire to leave, instead enjoying the many excellent facilities this lodge offers on site: swimming pool, spa pool, a five hole pitch-and-putt golf course, croquet, petanque and heli pad.
Lime Tree Lodge is a place where you can relax and revive.
