Fiordland Lodge

A backdrop of the finest views of Lake Te Anau and Fiordland National Park is where you will find elegant Fiordland Lodge. The architecture keeps in tune with the splendor of its stunning surrounding landscape and looks like it has been part of the landscape forever with its striking natural timber construction, high ceilings, full trunk pillars and inviting massive river-stone fireplace. Not so, this lodge has been purpose-built with the discerning traveler in mind.

We were warmly welcomed by hosts Robynne and Ron, who showed us to our room. All rooms have magnificent views and showcase natural materials being exquisitely decorated, the bathrooms are pure indulgence. It seemed essential to join fellow guests in the lounge were huge windows face overlook the lake and mountains. Enjoying pre-dinner drinks, we plan the following day's activities. Soon we were enjoying top New Zealand cuisine served in the beautiful dining area, complimented by superb wine from the cellar.

Robynne and Ron are passionately involved in outdoor activities and will assist with all planning as there is so much to do in this amazing part of New Zealand: rivers to fish - more than 40, walks through alpine forests and guided hunting. Fiordland Lodge, one of New Zealand's finest, is a superb place to enjoy the best hospitality and you will be very disappointed if you make the choice to stay only one night, this is a destination.
