What a view! We were impressed with everything about Pencarrow but the view is mind blowing. Located just on the outskirts of Queenstown up a tree-lined driveway Pencarrow is perched on a hillside overlooking Lake Wakatipu and the Remarkables. Pictures can not do justice to this panorama.
Our hosts Bill and Kari are warm and welcoming and greet us as long lost friends. They are well traveled and hospitality is second nature to them.
The guest lounge, library, games room, bar, and dinning room are all located on the first floor, furnishings are luxurious and applied with style. There are two suites on the ground floor and a further two on the second floor. Each has is own personality with fabulous artworks and decorative adornments, however they all have in common spaciousness with sitting rooms, entertainment systems and bathrooms that are pure indulgence. It really was hard to choose which room was to be our preference for our stay.
Absolutely nothing was too much trouble for these totally obliging professional hosts. If you want breakfast at 4 am, that is not a problem. Not me, I found it almost impossible to leave the comfort of the beautiful bed. You will be glad you did though because breakfast is an occasion. Kari and Bill are superb cooks and the table settings are exquisite.
Pencarrow is just a short drive from all the action of Queenstown and is certainly a jewel in this area.
