Hildegard, hostess of Nisbet Cottage, is a licensed and experienced wildlife guide and the cottage is exclusive to guests on the nature-based packages her company, Nature Guides Otago, offers. A 2-night package of bed and breakfast with guided wildlife tours of the Otago Peninsula includes the Sunrise Penguin Walk and Albatross viewing and can be tailored to suit special interests. You are welcome to stay extra nights for further independent explorations if you choose.

The two guest suites are spacious, furnished with lovely linens and have every amenity that you would expect from this truly professional operation. The guest lounge has a cosy fireplace or you might choose to sit on the deck with a wine watching the sun go down or the lights of Dunedin. Hard to tear yourself out of the lovely warm, comfortable bed and slip into your walking clothing to do the sunrise penguin walk, well maybe however the sheer thrill of the sunrise and the penguins starting their day is unsurpassable.
