Highland Peaks

Highland Peaks feels as if it is in its own world. Situated on a ridge top, the panoramic views are truly breathtaking. This newly built luxury lodge's eco-friendly practices won it a top NZ Enviro-Gold rating. Centrally located between the city and the airport, it offers an ideal country retreat from which to explore Dunedin and the region.

Constructed from natural stone and timber, Highland Peaks has an elegant light ambience, with large guest lounges, and sundecks.  Suites are generously sized and comfortable, two with spa baths. The 21 acres of grounds provides seclusion and privacy, native forest walks and birdlife. You can also "meet the Major" and other friendly farm animals. The outdoor spa pool is great for relaxing after the day's activities, or watching the stars at night.

Peter is a university ecologist and a former director of NZ's National Trust. If you are looking for special private eco-tours, he can guide you to view Otago's internationally famous wildlife and ecology. Highland Peaks also provides fine local cuisine and NZ wines. Guest numbers are limited to maximise personal service and I have seldom been made to feel so welcome. This is a special place.
