Pacific View

Drive to the top of the hill and Pacific View is positioned to make the most of outstanding views over Whangamata and out to the glistening Pacific Ocean.

Kathryn and Peter welcomed us and, fantastic, there is an internal elevator to take our bags to our rooms up on the top level which takes in the sun and the views. It is by instinct that we go out on the deck, leaning on the balcony rail just taking in the panorama, the golf course, township of  Whangamata, out to the headland, harbour entrance and the surf breaking on the beach. It is hard to tear yourself away. This gorgeous home has not been called Pacific View on a whim.

Two guest rooms are both beautifully furnished and with lovely finishing touches including homemade cookies, port and of course pampering is on the agenda.

Whangamata is a great place to make a base for exploring the eastern Coromandel Peninsula. The township of Whangamata has numerous restaurants and activities, Kathryn and Peter are happy to make any advance bookings. Hot Water  Beach and breathtaking Cathedral Cove are only 40 mins drive. Alternatively explore Pauanui or take the ferry to Tairua for the day.

Breakfast is an occasion at Pacific View with the freshest of fruits, cereals and the choice of a cooked option, all beautifully presented. Kathryn and Peter are very hospitable and after a couple of fun filled days we put Pacific View Bed and Breakfast on our list of "must come back to."
