Weldon Boutique Bed & Breakfast

I was prepared for romance and Weldon Boutique Bed & Breakfast did not disappoint. Nestled in a quiet, picturesque garden at the end of a scented, lavender-lined lane, this gorgeous heritage residence offers comfort and quality with a generous portion of Olde Worlde Charm.

Weldon is a 100 year old two-storey residence with the grace and charm of the
French Provençal style. There to warmly greet us was our charming host for the weekend, Pracilla, with her reception committee of toy poodles, James & Thomas.

Each of the three spacious, elegantly appointed suites at Weldon are furnished with period and antique furniture and decorated in keeping with a European theme. La Chambre des Fleur was an absolutely delightful retreat to another place and time!

Formalities aside, we opted for a quiet afternoon, soaking up the delights of Weldon's intimate garden. This was followed by well deserved relaxation in the inviting lounge with a glass of fine wine, appreciating Pracilla's suggestion on the best crafts, restaurants and shops to explore in Havelock North Village which is a mere 10 minute walk away.

Next morning after a delicious gourmet cooked breakfast including fresh local fruits, I indulged in a little 'me' time at the on-site natural health studio.

Having experienced its romance, I can certainly see why Weldon has made a name for itself as an ideal venue for intimate wedding ceremonies.
