City Lights

Positioned high above the Rotorua's quiet suburbs is City Lights Boutique Lodge, a delightful bed and breakfast, enjoying the outlook its name suggests. By day the view is impressive, by night a magical cinema of city and starry lights.

Naomi and Jim's hospitality trade experience shows itself in design, finish and furnishings of their purpose built accommodation. Guests can relax in three luxurious suites overlooking the gardens, the largest of which has a comfortable private lounge with sofa bed, and one has disabled access.

We thoroughly enjoyed the extra amenities including a gym, spa pool, sauna and guest laundry. For those who must, business is catered for with complimentary broadband, computer and in-house secretarial service.

There's a great room to meet and mingle and to breakfast if the weather is inclement. On a glorious day nothing is better, however, than to take breakfast 'al fresco' looking over this unique city, its steam vents evidencing thermal activity. Our hosts were only too pleased to offer suggestion and assist with bookings for the myriad of local attractions and restaurants Rotorua offers.

Perhaps this should be your Thermal Wonderland first stop? If so, Jim will gladly greet you at the airport or collect you from coach set-down. We recommend a stay of 2 or 3 nights as the location and facilities encourage recovery from jet lag or too big a dose of sights and sounds.
