Music, opera, ballet, theatre are all alive and well in New Zealand and of exceptional quality for such a small population. We have a superb national Symphony Orchestra which tours the country with visiting soloists and a number of regional orchestras, a magnificent National Ballet Company and NZ Opera has a strong following. Live theatre is a well established tradition and the contemporary music scene is vibrant and innovative. We are exceptionally fortunate to have events like the Auckand and Wellington International Festivals of the Arts and the breathtaking World of Wearable Art show. Artists, sculptors, potters, New Zealand is not just about the scenery!
